Overview
Merit Scaffolding Ltd needed a modern brochure site that could showcase past work, list services clearly, and provide a simple way for clients to make enquiries. The brief called for a fast, static build using the Vanilla Websites preferred technology stack.
Brief
The client wanted a site that felt professional and credible, with strong visuals for portfolio work and a blog area for updates. Performance and stability were important, and the site needed to be easy to maintain without heavy CMS overhead.
Approach
We built the site using Astro as a static site generation setup. This provides fast page loads, strong security, and low maintenance requirements. The structure includes dedicated service pages, a portfolio section, and a blog for ongoing updates. Each section is designed to be easy to navigate on mobile.
The content layout is focused and practical. Service detail is grouped into short sections with clear headings, and portfolio items are displayed in a consistent, easy-to-scan format. The blog was set up to allow regular posts without affecting site performance.
We also ensured the site follows a clear hierarchy for search. Pages are structured with clean headings and internal links, which supports visibility while keeping content readable for visitors.
The portfolio and blog are set up to support ongoing credibility. New projects can be added without affecting the core layout, and blog posts can highlight safety updates or recent contracts. This keeps the site current without adding complexity.
Outcome
Merit Scaffolding Ltd now has a fast, reliable brochure site that highlights their work and services without unnecessary complexity. The static build keeps performance high and gives the client a strong foundation for future content updates.
Notes
This project demonstrates the benefits of a modern static stack for trade and service businesses. By combining a clear structure with strong performance, the site supports enquiries while remaining easy to manage.
