Overview

Bill’s Turf first came to us because their existing website was running into problems and needed practical technical support rather than a full rebuild straight away. We resolved the immediate issues, migrated the old website onto our hosting, and gave the business a more stable setup while they continued trading.

Later, when the business was preparing for a new Google Pay Per Click campaign, they came back to us for a cleaner and more up-to-date website build that could better support lead generation without stretching the available budget.

Brief

The brief was split across two phases. First, the priority was to fix the problems affecting the old website and move it onto reliable hosting so the business had continuity and fewer technical headaches. Second, once the timing was right for a refreshed PPC push, the goal was to deliver a cleaner build that looked more current, supported campaign traffic more effectively, and stayed cost-conscious.

The new website also needed supporting location pages, tracking script implementation based on the requirements of the client’s SEO agency, and an editing setup that made key text points across the site manageable through Advanced Custom Fields.

Approach

We started by dealing with the instability in the previous website and moving the existing build to our hosting environment. That gave Bill’s Turf a more dependable short-term solution while also buying time to plan a cleaner rebuild properly instead of rushing into unnecessary redevelopment.

When the PPC campaign was being prepared, we designed and implemented a refreshed website build with a cleaner presentation and a structure better suited to enquiry-focused traffic. The project was handled on a budget, so the work stayed focused on the pages and functionality that would have the clearest commercial value.

To support the campaign and local search coverage, we created the necessary location pages and added the Google tracking scripts requested by the SEO agency. We also made the site’s text touchpoints editable through Advanced Custom Fields, giving the client a practical way to adjust messaging without needing developer involvement for every small update.

Outcome

Bill’s Turf ended up with both the immediate rescue work they needed and the later strategic rebuild required for a new paid traffic push. The original site issues were resolved, the old website was moved onto our hosting, and the later rebuild delivered a cleaner frontend that better supported their Google Pay Per Click campaign.

With the addition of location pages, agency-requested tracking, and editable text areas through Advanced Custom Fields, the finished site gave the business a stronger marketing platform while remaining realistic for the available budget.

Notes

This project is a strong example of phased web support for a small business. Instead of forcing a rebuild before the timing made sense, we first stabilised the existing site, then delivered a more focused replacement when it aligned with the client’s marketing plans. That approach kept costs sensible while still improving reliability, campaign readiness, and ongoing content control.
