Overview
GES UK Ltd had an ageing WordPress site that had become unstable and difficult to maintain. The installation was corrupted, which introduced both reliability and security issues. The business needed a modern, dependable website on a tight budget to act as a simple shop window for their services.
Brief
The goal was a clean, informative website that explained the business clearly and encouraged enquiries. The site needed to be fast, stable, and easy to maintain, while keeping costs under control. A heavy CMS setup was not viable given the state of the old site and the budget.
Approach
We rebuilt the site using Astro to remove the issues caused by plugins and outdated dependencies. A static architecture provided better performance and reduced ongoing maintenance requirements. This approach also suited the limited budget, as it keeps infrastructure costs predictable and lowers the risk of future repairs.
Content was restructured with clarity in mind. We simplified navigation, moved key services into clear sections, and prioritised the information most visitors look for first. The layout is responsive and works cleanly across devices, which is important for businesses that receive mobile enquiries.
We kept branding consistent with the existing identity, while updating typography and spacing to feel more current. The result is a site that feels professional without adding unnecessary complexity.
Outcome
GES UK Ltd now has a stable, modern website that works as a clear shop window. The Astro build removes the instability of the old WordPress installation and delivers reliable speed. The site supports enquiries without requiring complex ongoing maintenance.
Notes
This project shows how a lean rebuild can deliver a reliable outcome even on a very tight budget. By focusing on structure and stability, the client gained a site that can be trusted as their primary online presence.
